TEACHING

George Litterst is currently a private piano teacher in Rehoboth, MA. In recent years, he served as a mentor (consultant) at the Ross School of East Hampton, NY where he was involved in developing a K-12 curriculum for performing arts.

Previously, he has taught in a wide variety of musical environments: university, conservatory prep school, community music school, public school, and private studio. Academic institutions where he has taught include:

He is a member of many professional musical and educational organizations, such as Music Teachers National Association and TI:ME and is currently the Technology Chair for the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy.


George's Private Studio
George currently teaches beginning and advanced piano students in his home studio where he makes extensive use of new technologies, including the Disklavier, MIDI accompaniment disks, and intelligent music software.

As shown in the photo below, his students may occasionally get a lesson from a teacher in another city.



In addition and on a limited basis, George accepts private students in the areas of music theory, music history, and music technology.
