His years of teaching piano led him to the field of software development. He is currently the president of
TimeWarp Technologies, a software company that creates innovative resources for students, teachers, hobbyist players, and professional musicians. These applications provided a lifeline for teachers in 2020 when they were suddenly forced to move their teaching online as a result of the pandemic.

A frequent presenter at national music educator conferences, George is the author of over 100 articles on the applications of new technologies in music education. In 2010, an application that he co-authored called Home Concert Xtreme won the MTNA-Frances Clark Award for Keyboard Pedagogy.

Interactive Digital Sheet Music

Traditional, printed music is a static object requiring you to apply your musical intelligence to the issue of decoding the musical symbols—and playing in real time.

Interactive sheet music available in SuperScore on the iPad takes the concept of printed music several steps further, inviting you into a participatory experience. When you use interactive sheet music in SuperScore, you will learn to read music more quickly and have much more fun in the process!

With SuperScore you can:
  • hear what the music sounds like
  • play along with accompaniment tracks
  • set a comfortable tempo
  • adjust the size of the music notation
  • enjoy automatic page-turning
  • show-and-hide musical parts
  • mark up the score
  • …and so much more!
If you have a MIDI-equipped digital or acoustic piano, SuperScore will engage with you musically. In Learn mode, SuperScore will wait for you to play the right note. In Perform mode, SuperScore will follow your tempo.
Interactive Exploration of Music Theory

Classroom Maestro is a tool for exploring a wide variety of music reading and theory concepts including:
  • Individual Notes
  • Intervals
  • Scales
  • Chords
  • Chord Progressions
  • Keyboard Hand Positions

Classroom Maestro is musically intelligent, understanding key signatures and major and minor modalities.

The best way to interact with Classroom Maestro is through a MIDI keyboard connected to the computer. Play notes on your keyboard, and Classroom Maestro responds by displaying the played notes on the on-screen keyboard and musical staff. With the press of a simple shortcut key, Classroom Maestro displays a musical analysis of what has been played.

Classroom Maestro is also available as an add-on to Internet MIDI, providing student and teacher with a 2-way, interactive musical blackboard during online lessons.
Connection of Pianos over the Internet
Internet MIDI is the premiere solution for long distance teaching and performing, enabling you to connect any 2 MIDI instruments together over the Internet. First released in 2007, it is in active use on six continents.

Internet MIDI is an application for Mac and PC that:
  • works with MIDI instruments from all manufacturers
  • transmits and receives up to 16 channels of MIDI data
  • provides an on-screen keyboard with animated keys, pedals, and velocity meters
  • offers recording/playback features
  • includes A/V controls
  • works interactively with Classroom Maestro
Internet MIDI makes it possible to play the piano in two places at once. When you play notes on your MIDI piano, those same notes are simultaneously played on the remote keyboard.

Internet MIDI is a tool that you will use if you take lessons with George online from the comfort of your home.
